“The matinee performance by the Philmore Ensemble at Columbia University was more than just a concert.  The members of the ensemble are first-rate musicians who care deeply about sharing their love and passion for performing and their knowledge of the music with the audience.  The students and other audience members came away from the concert not only with the memories of an enjoyable afternoon performance; they left with a deeper understanding and appreciation for the unique repertoire that included celebrate works by Schubert and Rossini to those by lesser-known composers such as Fernando Sor. The ensemble is playful, fun, engaging and energetic. This is truly an ensemble that has a bright future ahead of them.” –Kristy Riggs
